Our Mission

Deliver network independence through a system so disruptively simple; designed from the outset to care for itself, reject threats, unleash productivity and instill peace-of-mind. To be invisible yet impenetrable. An always-on-never-off system that’s as natural and intuitive to use as taking a breath.

WHY NOW?

While the world has changed, networking hasn't. Now is the time to evolve the enterprise network and make the experience so disruptively simple it's practically invisible.

Our History

Our journey is all about a once in a decade opportunity to create something disruptive – not just for the sake of disruption – but to create something that can resolve the insane complexity of networking and deliver simple access to a very reliable, extremely high-performance network. This journey began in 2018 with a shared vision between Pankaj Patel and Suresh Katukam who were joined by John Chambers and Sri Hosakote, making up Nile’s original founding team.

Achieving this vision necessitated bringing together the best and the brightest; a team of pioneers and visionaries in networking, security, and artificial intelligence.

Within four years the team built a new standard for the enterprise network, and what it truly means to be a Network as a Service.

In four short years, we've built a new system, team, and a new standard for Network-as-a-Service.

The Nile Culture

Start with the customer and work backwards. Immerse in the world of customer to understand their context and needs. Work vigorously to earn and keep customer trust by listening and addressing their challenges.

Innovate and invent on behalf of customers. Challenge current practices, and find ways to simplify.

Respectfully challenge, disagree even when it is uncomfortable. No need to compromise for the sake of cohesion. Once a decision is made, commit wholly.

Fail fast and fail often; Efforts matter but results count. Measure progress & celebrate outcomes.

We are a team, and we support and lift each other. We strive to achieve our common mission of serving the customer. We keep our egos outside of Nile.

Pankaj Patel

Chief Executive Officer

Follow Me:

You have achieved the pinnacle of career achievement after decades of hard work and become one of the most respected executive leaders in Silicon Valley. What do you do for a curtain call?

For Pankaj Patel, the decision to co-found Nile as a disruptive startup was the only logical answer. A self-proclaimed “geek,” he doesn’t dwell or take solace in past achievements; his passion for contributing to the world and to the industry that has given him so much is what drives him.

Nile’s commitment and strength lie in making overly and unnecessarily complex networking infrastructure solutions simple – this is Pankaj’s vision. Leaning on his obsession and superpower of customer delight, he is spearheading a culture here at Nile which values transparency, diversity of thought, leadership accessibility.

Prior to Nile Pankaj was a partner and Chief Strategy Officer at JC2 ventures, and a senior advisor to March Capital. Before that, Pankaj was Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Cisco Systems, Inc where he served for nearly 14 years. As the engineering head of the company’s $38 billion product and solution portfolio, he drove the business and technology strategy across Cisco’s entire product offerings.

Pankaj also serves on the board of directors of several technology startups.
